Styling Orchids by Room: From the Entry to the Primary Suite

On an island or a long dining table, sightlines matter: an arrangement should sit below eye level so conversation flows over it, and its footprint should echo the length of the surface rather than crowd it. A powder room rewards one immaculate plant in a beautiful vessel, styled against the mirror and lighting; here the flower is a small luxury noticed up close. In the primary suite, orchids belong on a bedside console or dressing area, kept soft and low so the room stays calm rather than styled.

Finally, do not overlook the transitions between rooms and the outdoor spaces that connect them. A covered terrace or a landing at the top of a stair is often where a home feels most photographed and least attended to. Placing a considered arrangement in those in-between moments is what makes an entire home feel cohesively styled rather than decorated in patches.
